Executive Communications Manager (Santa Cruz, CA)


 


We are looking for an executive communications manager for a high tech company in Santa Cruz, CA. The role involves writing executive communication content working directly with members of the c-suite. The ideal candidate enjoys crafting stories and translating technology big picture concepts into crisp thoughts and messages.  The role also includes some project management of executive communications initiatives.


This is a 40 hour per week role, 12 month contract (extensions likely) with 3 to 4 days per week onsite in Santa Cruz, CA. This is a w-2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions’ employee, health benefits offered.


 


Responsibilities



  • Partner with influencer program, internal comms and social media leads on identifying executive involvement and communication as part of the board activities.

  • Content creation in support of executive communications and speaking. Content to be created includes powerpoint presentations, blogs, social media content, speeches, and website content.

  • Develop messaging for internal and external audiences.

  • Assess the needs of different audiences, source data, and work with subject matter experts across the business to develop clear copy for a variety of deliverables on deadline.

  • Manage key stakeholder communications calendar and align with corporate editorial calendar.


Required Qualifications :

Requirements



  • Strong, proven writing skills

  • 2+ years of experience in an executive communications role, writing and managing programs in a high tech company.

  • Experience developing thought leadership programs

  • Ability to work effectively with executives

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines; ability to thrive with ambiguity

  • BA/BS in Communications, Business, Marketing-related field or Liberal Arts.
